An interactive sound + video installation commissioned by La Villette Museum in Paris for its opening in spring 1986. Visitors could explore the playing of a small kalimba (mbira) linked to a digital sound / graphics interface. |
Commissioned by the Massachusetts Arts Council in 1987, "A Map" was exhibited at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln, MA in June—August 1987. Links between mbira playing and computer music & graphics were further explored in this installation. |
